Nelson Mai is a Brooklyn born raised and based multidisciplinary artist with a specialty in 3D art and character art. When he is not freelancing as a 3D generalist, he creates work that is an intimate celebration of his queer Chinese American background. Nelson is a "flaneur"- observing, pondering, and transcribing his surroundings, family, and chosen family.

Nelson is a 3d generalist who specializes in modeling and look development. He's worked for clients like Hornet, HOPR, and 2Lizards Production. With a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, he was the 2022 commencement speaker at his graduation. ​​​​
